Meet Avery Green
Class of 2028 student athlete at Cy Springs High School in Cypress, TX (just northwest of Houston, TX).
About me.
I remember as a little kid, balls were everywhere in our home. Baseballs, basketballs, footballs, golf balls, soccer balls, tennis balls and even volleyballs.
And I’ve played them all, with my parents, brothers, sister, friends, and neighbors.
These days I play basketball, football and run track for conditioning. But I truly love all sports. I am a point guard with a high basketball IQ & crazy vertical (in middle school, I set a record in high jump even though I’d never done it before)! In football, I play wide receiver and defensive back.
In the classroom, I am an honor student taking advanced classes that will earn college credits while in high school.

What do my coaches, mentors, & teammates say about me? I was curious too so I asked! Here’s what they said 👉🏾
My style of play
As a point guard, I am still learning to lead my team in a way that fits my personality – quiet but vocal, smart yet humble. I am always a work in progress & so happy to have great coaches and mentors who believe in me.
Because of that, I am learning to step outside my comfort zone to be the player they always tell me I am. Have a look at one of my highlights below from the Phenom America Basketball Camp in Seal Beach, CA.
I was most recently nominated to play in the Texas All State game in Dallas, TX. As starting point guard, I was able to lead my team to the championship.
I was also invited to the Phenom America Basketball Camp in Seal Beach, CA where I also played at starting point guard.
These were both amazing opportunities where I was able to meet & play for college level coaches as well as top notch players from the state of Texas and across the nation respectively.
